About Jillian:
Life Coach, Consultant, & Autism Sibling
Growing up with an Autistic brother gave me a unique understanding of the joys and challenges that kids with disabilities face. As his big sister, I was his watchful protector, cheerleader, and confidante. Now, decades later, I have multiple family members who are neurodivergent and my passion for supporting such individuals has evolved into a mission to empower neurodivergent teens and young adults as they navigate the exciting, yet often complex, transition to adulthood.
For the past decade, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs my brother has encountered while navigating college and employment, as well as the empowerment he has gained while coaching him through these experiences.
My personal experience with neurodivergence, combined with a Special Needs Life Coaching certification through TERi Inc. provides a unique perspective and understanding of the emotional rollercoaster families experience during this time of transition. As a Certified PEERS Provider, I understand the struggle with social skills for neurodivergent individuals and imbed this training into many facets of coaching. In my prior career, I accumulated an array of skills working in business and higher education, as well as obtaining an MBA with an emphasis in social enterprise - in other words creating businesses that truly help people thrive. My background and experiences make me uniquely qualified to help my young adult and adolescent clients navigate the processes of getting into college, navigating various personal and professional social situations, resume building, interview skills, job performance, important life skills, independence and beyond.
My approach is empathetic, collaborative, strengths-based, and results-oriented. I believe in working alongside families, tailoring strategies to individual needs and celebrating each success, big or small.
Imagine having a “big sister”, a friendly mentor, and an enthusiastic life coach in your/ your child’s corner. Someone who understands the nuances of navigating life with special needs, yet brings a fresh perspective and empowering strategies. That's what I offer families.
